The all new Connecticut Emissions Inspection process can seem complicated at first because it's brand new. If you're unsure about how the program works Computer Tune & Lube can help. Not only do we have the experience and the know-how to walk you through the process, but as an Official Connecticut Emissions Test Station and Repair Facility, we can do the inspection on premises.

How often do I have to get my vehicle inspected?
The new emissions program requires that all vehicles between 4 and 24 years old be tested every two years.

How will I know when I need to get it inspected?
The Department of Motor Vehicles will send you a letter telling you when you need to be inspected. When you receive the letter, simply call the nearest Computer Tune & Lube to set up an appointment.

How much does the inspection cost?
The inspection costs $20. Vehicles that are more than 30 days late for their inspection will be billed an additional $20 late fee.

What if my vehicle fails?
While most vehicles will pass, if yours fails you will be given a report of the results. You will then have 30 calendar says to have the repairs done and pass a re-test. You are entitled to one free re-test at the location that performed the initial test.

Yes, we are a state-authorized emissions test station.

Can you do the repair if my vehicle fails?
Yes, in most cases we can repair your vehicle in the unlikely even that it fails.
